Saints Shut Out 34-0 by Rams: CJ Daniels Draws 13 Targets

New Orleans lost 34-0 to the Rams in Week 2 of the preseason, its offense unable to get out of its own way while Los Angeles piled up points on the ground and through the air. Both Saints quarterbacks threw interceptions, one of which went back 100 yards the other way.

New Orleans' quarterbacks combined for two interceptions and zero points

Spencer Rattler went 14 of 23 for 141 yards with an interception, a 60.2 rating. Zach Wilson was worse in relief: 6 of 12 for 55 yards, an interception of his own, a 28.1 rating. Neither quarterback got New Orleans into the end zone, and one of those two picks was returned 100 yards for a Rams touchdown — as bad as a single defensive play can go for an offense.

Bennett threw for 181 yards on 19 of 31 passing without a passing touchdown, but rushed for two scores himself, a 1-yarder and an 8-yarder. Jarquez Hunter added a third rushing touchdown on 12 carries for 68 yards, a 5.7 average, giving Los Angeles three different ways to find the end zone on the ground alone.
