Privacy Policy

TheFantasyPicks ("we", "us") operates thefantasypicks.com. We try to collect as little personal information as possible. This page tells you exactly what we collect, why, and how to remove it.

1. Information we collect

Email addresses

We do not require accounts to use the site, and we do not collect email addresses today. If we add an opt-in newsletter or draft reminder later, this section will be updated and you will be asked to consent at the point of collection.

IP address

Our hosting provider (Render) records the IP address of every request in standard web-server access logs for security and rate-limiting. Logs are retained for up to 30 days and then rotated. We do not associate IP addresses with personal identity.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

When you accept cookies, we load Google Analytics 4 to count pageviews, measure draft / tool engagement, and diagnose performance. GA4 anonymises IP addresses on collection. If you reject cookies, GA4 is not loaded.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We are activating Google AdSense to fill a small number of ad slots. Ads only load after you accept cookies. AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, governed by the Google advertising policies. Ads activate on your next page after you grant consent.

Affiliate click tracking

When you click an affiliate button to one of our partners we record the click event (surface, partner, label, destination URL) for revenue reporting. We do not embed any other third-party script on the affiliate destination. Our current partners are: DraftKings, FanDuel, Underdog, Sleeper, and PrizePicks.

2. Cookies

We group cookies into three categories:

  • Necessary — required for the site to work, including the tfp_consent cookie that records your cookie choice. These do not require consent under ePrivacy law.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*). Loaded only when you accept cookies.
  • Advertising — Google AdSense cookies for ad personalisation and frequency capping. Loaded only when you accept cookies.

3. GDPR rights (EU / UK / EEA / Switzerland)

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request deletion, request a portable copy, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, email contact@thefantasypicks.com. We respond within 30 days.

4. CCPA rights (California)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete that information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of cross-context behavioural advertising, reject cookies in the consent banner or email contact@thefantasypicks.com.

5. Children (COPPA)

TheFantasyPicks is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Changes

When we change this policy materially we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and re-show the consent banner so you can review your choice.
