Trade windows close fast once byes hit, so the smart move is to strike now while box scores are still lying to your league mates. Below are three buy-lows whose actual workload says "keep waiting" and three sell-highs whose touchdown luck is about to run out. Each one comes with a concrete offer you can copy into your league's trade block tonight.
Chase Brown sits at RB #1 on the Bengals depth chart, which means the touches are his to lose, not earn. A quiet fantasy week or two from a bell-cow back in an offense that also features Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins is almost always a script problem, not a talent or opportunity problem. If Brown's owner is grumbling about a cold stretch, this is exactly when you buy.
The offer: Send a WR3 you're lukewarm on, someone like Zay Flowers if you're stacked at receiver, for Brown straight up. If they balk, sweeten it with a Day 2 rookie pick rather than another core piece. You're betting on volume, not vibes.
Taylor is the unquestioned RB #1 in Indianapolis, with only DJ Giddens and camp arm Seth McGowan behind him on the depth chart, neither a threat to siphon early-down work. When a workhorse back like this has a down box score, the volume underneath tends to be untouched, since there's no one on the roster positioned to take it from him.
The offer: Package a solid but replaceable piece like David Montgomery, whose own backfield in Houston still includes Nico Collins soaking up target share on the perimeter, plus a mid-round pick, for Taylor. You're trading name-value depth for a workload that doesn't have real competition behind it.
Jacobs is Green Bay's RB #1, and unlike some timeshares around the league, his depth chart standing hasn't wavered. A cold two-week stretch in the box score from a lead back who keeps getting the ball is the textbook definition of a buy window, especially if the panic seller is fixated on missed trips to the end zone rather than missed touches.
The offer: Offer up Jayden Reed, a talented but boom-or-bust piece in that same Green Bay passing game, straight across for Jacobs. Same team, same offense, but you're trading catch variance for a bell-cow role.
Dowdle currently sits behind Jaylen Warren on Pittsburgh's depth chart, and when a change-of-pace or complementary back starts posting touchdown-heavy box scores, that's usually the sign to sell before positive regression corrects itself. A crowded backfield room means touches, and therefore scores, are unlikely to stay concentrated on one name all season.
The offer: This is the week to flip Dowdle for a locked-in WR1 you can plug into your lineup every Sunday, someone like Rashod Bateman if his owner is light at receiver. You're selling touchdown equity while it's inflated and buying target-share stability.
Andrews is Baltimore's TE #1, and in an offense that also features Zay Flowers as the top slot option and Rashod Bateman on the outside, red-zone work at tight end is going to be split with real competition for targets, not manufactured. If Andrews has been finding the end zone at a rate that outpaces his catch volume, that's the kind of score you cash in on rather than ride out.
The offer: Send Andrews plus a bench flier to a TE-needy team for a true bell-cow running back, ideally one whose touches, not just touchdowns, are trending up. Check our dynasty and redraft rankings before you finalize numbers so you're not giving up more value than the trade requires.
Montgomery is Houston's RB #1 on paper, but touchdown-dependent fantasy weeks from a committee-caliber back are exactly the profile that tends to normalize hard. When the receiving corps, headlined by Nico Collins, is drawing away red-zone attention through the air, a ground-game touchdown streak becomes fragile fast.
The offer: Trade Montgomery now for a receiver locked into weekly targets, and use our trade value tool alongside a look at snap-share data from a site like Pro Football Reference to confirm the touchdown rate really is running hot before you finalize the swap.
Buying low is about trusting the depth chart and the touches, not the box score headline. Selling high is about recognizing when touchdowns have outpaced the actual role. Run these three-for-three offers through your league now, before your trade partners start reading the same underlying numbers you just did. If you want to stress-test any of these deals further, our mock draft tool is also useful for gauging market value on the pieces you're sending back.
